Forward Max Talbot made his Bruins Debut wearing number 25, and skating on the fourth line, with Chris Kelly and Brian Ferlin. Even though he had no points, it was a great moment for all Bruins fans. The Bruins gained one point in this game, a shootout loss. (It’s better tan no points at all!) Defenseman David Schlemko of the Calgary Flames made his debut after being claimed by waivers from the Dallas Stars. He scored in the eighth round of the shootout to guarantee a victory for the Flames. Patrice Bergeron scored the lone shootout goal for Boston.
